I'm a student, not just in university but of the world, as learning never ends and there's always something new that needs to be learned. I'm a software engineer by profession or by degree. I am a frontend web developer striving to be a full-stack developer and data analyst. My interests are game development, web development, graphic design (mostly creating posters), data science, and watching anime in my free time.
"Transformed scattered book tracking into seamless digital organization."
Here's the lin to the project on GitHub: https://github.com/hellen004/avenue-library
I saw how traditional library management was drowning in manual processes. Tracking books, managing checkouts, and organizing collections felt like fighting against the system instead of working with it. People needed something that just worked, without the friction. The gap between what existed and what users actually needed was massive.
I built Avenue Library from the ground up with simplicity at its core. Focused on clean interfaces that anyone could navigate without training. Made sure every feature solved a real pain point, not just added complexity. Used modern web technologies to create something fast, reliable, and actually enjoyable to use.
I delivered a system that handles the full library workflow without breaking a sweat. Users can search, check out, and manage books in seconds instead of minutes. The interface feels natural, like it's reading your mind. What used to take multiple steps now happens with a single click.
The best software doesn't make you think about the software. It just gets out of your way and lets you do your job.
"Turning written words into spoken experiences, one document at a time."
I saw how many people struggle to consume written content. Some are visually impaired, others are multitasking, and many just prefer audio. Documents were locked in text format, limiting who could access them. The barrier was real and affecting productivity and inclusion.
I built a document to audio converter from the ground up. Focused on clean functionality that actually works. Made sure the interface was intuitive so anyone could use it without a manual. Prioritized quality audio output that people would want to listen to.
I delivered a working converter that transforms documents into clear audio. The tool processes files smoothly and outputs natural sounding speech. People can now access content on their terms, whether commuting, exercising, or just preferring to listen. Accessibility became a reality, not just a feature.
The best technology removes barriers without making noise about it. When you solve a real problem simply, people just use it and their lives get a little easier.
"Turning a learning struggle into the next innovative educational tool."
Students fail to grasp algorithms through traditional learning methods. Visualizing how the algorithm worked on paper was helping anyone.
For my Final year project I created AlgoQuest as an educational game that teaches students the basics of algorithms and helps visualize how algorithms work in real time. Using an open-source game engine to create something that can be educational and fun, helping students retain information easily.
In less than 6 months I delivered an MVP to demostrate the concept of what the game is and what it should do, with only two levels the game proved that algorithms can be easy to understand with a visualization tool on the side.
Real stories beat marketing claims every time. Be authentic.
I'm always excited to collaborate on new projects. Let's discuss how we can bring your ideas to life.
