I was pitching Product Hunt founders for a client and getting nowhere. My previous pitch fell flat. They weren't interested and I could feel the door closing. I needed to find a way to make them care about what I was offering.

I published an article first to build credibility before pitching. Changed my approach from generic outreach to showing real value upfront. Crafted a new pitch that acknowledged past mistakes and invited conversation instead of demanding attention. Made it personal and humble instead of salesy.
